Ofsted says:
“This is an effective school. Pupils arrive with skills and knowledge that are broadly below expectations and make good progress, leaving at the end of Year 2 with standards that are significantly above average. Teachers plan lessons well and enable pupils to make good gains in their knowledge by providing interesting activities to stimulate their thinking. Pupils thoroughly enjoy school, one commenting, 'School is fantastic because we do lots of fun things.' The curriculum, based on themes, provides an exciting range of topics for pupils to explore.”
“Pupils are gaining a good understanding of personal values. In particular their knowledge of how to stay safe and how to keep others safe is outstanding. They feel secure both in classrooms and in the playground and always know that there is someone they can turn to should they need help.
“Leaders and managers, including the governors, have correctly identified other areas that need improvement and have put action plans in place to address these.”
